What is generally covered?
We may cover accidental physical damage to your property caused directly by a Right Hands professional during a confirmed booking, for example:
- A broken household item
- Scratches or dents caused by cleaning tools
- Damage to furniture during cleaning
What is not covered?
Examples of items and situations that are not covered or have very limited coverage:
- Cash, cheques and similar financial items
- Jewellery, watches, luxury accessories
- Art, antiques, rare collectibles
- Items with mainly sentimental value
- Pre‑existing damage or normal wear and tear
- Items that were already unstable or improperly installed
- Internal faults in electronics with no sign of external damage
- Loss of income, data, or other indirect losses
How is compensation decided?
If a claim is approved, we may:
- Arrange a repair, or
- Provide a replacement of similar value and quality, or
- Offer monetary compensation
Compensation is based on:
- The item’s age and condition
- Proof of value
- Repair vs replacement cost
- Our coverage limits
We use current fair market value, not sentimental value or guaranteed full original price.
